Yes: our heat pumps of 12,000 BTU and up that we sell and install qualify for Hydro-Québec's LogisVert rebate, which requires installation by an RBQ-licensed contractor. The amount depends on the unit's capacity and is confirmed by Hydro-Québec. See Hydro-Québec's LogisVert page.

According to Hydro-Québec, the rebate is based on the unit's heating capacity at -8°C: $50 per 1,000 BTU/h for an ENERGY STAR® certified heat pump and $120 per 1,000 BTU/h for a cold-climate model. Example: the Gree Clivia 12,000 BTU delivers 12,000 BTU/h at -8°C, so 12 × $120 = $1,440. The unit must be on Hydro-Québec's list and installed by an RBQ-licensed contractor, and you must apply within 9 months of installation.

No. LogisVert requires an outdoor unit of at least 12,000 BTU/h, so our 9,000 BTU models (Hisense Hi Pro Xtreme and Hi Ultra Xtreme) do not qualify. Our heat pumps of 12,000 BTU and up qualify; the amount is confirmed by Hydro-Québec.

On the Heat pumps page, pick the model and size, then click "Reserve". Reservations take a $250 deposit, deducted from your final invoice. The deposit reserves your unit, locks the price for 30 days and gives you a spot in the schedule. We'll contact you to schedule the installation.

Our installed prices include a standard installation: installation of the indoor and outdoor units; wall or ground support for the outdoor unit; insulated copper refrigerant piping up to 25 ft (7.6 m); coloured aluminium line cover; refrigerant connection, refrigerant charge, start-up, documentation and warranty registration. Extras (e.g. additional piping) are quoted after the assessment.

Yes, but only for the Gree Charmo and Clivia 12,000 and 18,000 BTU, in limited quantity: Charmo 12,000 BTU $1,250, Charmo 18,000 BTU $1,950, Clivia 12,000 BTU $1,667 and Clivia 18,000 BTU $2,002 (before taxes, without installation). You can pay online on the Heat pumps page, with free pickup or delivery ($150 before taxes); we'll then contact you to arrange pickup or delivery. Installation is also available for these models, on quote. Keep in mind that rebate programs generally require installation by an RBQ-licensed contractor, and our labour warranty only covers installations done by our team. Refrigerant equipment must be installed by a qualified person.

A wall-mounted unit (one indoor head) works well for an open area or main room. A multi-zone system connects several indoor units (wall, ducted, ceiling or console) to a single outdoor unit to heat multiple rooms. A central heat pump is for homes with air ducts and distributes heating and cooling everywhere. We'll recommend the right fit during the assessment.

Yes. Most heat pumps keep running down to around -25 to -30°C, depending on the model, but not all of them stay equally efficient. Entry-level units typically deliver full heating capacity down to about -10 to -15°C, then gradually lose output. Our Samsung heat pumps keep 100% of their heating capacity down to -20°C and our Fujitsu units down to -26°C. For the coldest homes, we also offer a premium model that keeps full capacity down to -30°C. Backup heat is still useful during extreme cold snaps. We install heat pumps from Gree (Charmo, Clivia, Multi R32), Samsung (WindFree™ Max Heat, WindFree™), Hisense (Hi Pro Xtreme, Hi Ultra Xtreme), Fujitsu (XLTH), as well as central heat pumps and Steffes heat storage units. We service and repair all major brands, including Mitsubishi and LG.

We recommend professional maintenance at least once a year (ideally before winter), and twice a year for heavy heating + cooling use. Between visits, clean the filters regularly as per the manufacturer's manual and keep the outdoor unit clear. See our maintenance plans, from $15/month + taxes.

Our maintenance plans cost $15 (Essentiel), $25 (Confort) or $37.50 (Premium) per month + taxes, for 1 compressor and 1 indoor unit. Each additional indoor unit adds $3.50/month and each additional compressor $4/month. 12-month subscription paid monthly by card; price guaranteed for the first 12 months. Included in all our maintenance plans: when it is -20°C or colder and your system breaks down, a technician comes within 24 to 30 business hours, with no travel fee.

Yes. Work is done by certified refrigeration technicians. Climaref Québec inc. holds Régie du bâtiment du Québec licence RBQ 5813-2804-01 (NEQ 1177193894) and is insured. You can check this licence in the RBQ licence holder registry (in French).

The warranty depends on the model: up to 12 years on parts and 10 years on labour. Gree Charmo and Clivia: 12-year parts and 6-year labour. Samsung, Hisense and Fujitsu: 12-year parts and 10-year labour, and the labour warranty includes diagnostics and refrigerant. Exact conditions (product registration, required maintenance, etc.) are spelled out in your quote.
